One of the top bestselling history shows Michael Medved has ever recorded!

Who were the people of the Plymouth Colony and why did they hold a feast of celebration in 1621 which we now call the first Thanksgiving? How did they manage that first winter in the wilderness? Why are these few settlers in New England held in such high esteem today when they considered their accomplishments all to be failures?  And, what about those Puritans? Do they deserve the grim image history has given them?

Learn the answers to these questions and more in this special Thanksgiving Day holiday history program.

    Exciting and informative

Loved it!.....Had a positive effect on me.....Instead of only emphasizing the negative incidents that occurred during that time the author brings out some of the positive times that kept the people going on and on...many of Mr. Medved's findings were not in the Ken Burn's documentary.....a real plus point.

    The Providence of God too...

Posted by Mal Tomlin on 6th Jan 2015

An Incredible story that Michael unwraps with his usual cogent passion for precise history. But also another example of the Providence of God - for those who have ears to listen. There are only two consistent views: atheism or theism. Atheists affirm a meaningless, purposeless, unguided, worldview - that is, nihilism then nothingness. State of the art science accredits theism and the world is pregnant with meaning and purpose. Optimism or pessimism ground the overarching joy or hopelessnes in your life. "One of the greatest and most precious privileges of the believer is to have the guidance of God at every turn of life." Reuben Archer Torrey, in The Voice of God in the Present Hour

    The first thanksgiving

This is presented well and well researched. I wish all children stuck in secular government schools who are being taught atheistic anit-American lies could hear this.
